data from radar and surface observations indicate that the center of
the depression moved inland near Fort Walton Beach Florida around
0000 UTC tonight.

We're looking at a Category 1, potentially a Category 2 (always plan for one Cat higher than the models) hurricane making landfall somewhere between Pensacola and New Orleans, in less than 48 hours. Th' low pressure system that might become Tropical Storm Jerry be converted to a nontropical low pressure system off th' coast o' Florida. Development be unlikely, but if 't occurs, 'twill probably be verrry limited (TD/TS), an' landfall be between Pensacola an' th' LA/TX border.
